JOIN US IN-PERSON IN DC:
WHAT:
The People’s Climate March.
WHEN:
Saturday, April 29 from 9 am – 5 pm. Help us hold the banner, pass out stickers, and take photos!
WHERE:
Meet us at the National Mall on the corner of 4th Street NW and Madison Drive NW (we’ll have a banner!). Call us if you get lost at 206-280-3448.
WHO:
YOU, your family, friends, colleagues, and potentially hundreds of thousands of others worldwide who care deeply about truth-telling, accountability, food systems, climate change, and the environment.
WHY:
To speak truth to power and demand, on behalf of the country and the world, that lawmakers everywhere acknowledge climate change as a real and existential threat.
Truth-tellers (i.e. whistleblowers) working within the food system who have sought to “blow the whistle” and disclose wrongdoing, fraud, or abuse of power have historically been unduly retaliated against, much to the detriment of the public. The People’s Climate March provides an ideal pedestal upon which to peacefully protest this retaliation and provide support for those brave individuals looking to reveal information the rest of us have a right to see.
Together, we can protect food whistleblowers and raise much-needed awareness about the connection between food systems and the environment. It begins at the People’s Climate March on Saturday, April 29.
We’ll see you in the streets!
