Donald Trump nominates so many unqualified people for positions within his administration that it’s almost laughable. Trump’s picks leave much to be desired – especially where science is concerned! Compared to the others, Dr. Mindy Brashears appears to have the requisite expertise to serve as USDA’s Undersecretary for Food Safety. But look deeper, and you’ll discover that Dr. Brashears was actually the pro-industry champion of so-called “pink slime.”

Restaurant chains, and even the school lunch program rapidly decided to stop using it. Dr. Brashears, on the other hand? She was the industry expert who defended the product.
